Never Argue with a Tiger

You tear at my skin with piercing words
And I bleed just a little for you
Reassemble myself with the view you preferred
You tear at my skin with piercing words

And my acid retort is unheard
As I observe my existence undo
You tear at my skin with piercing words
And I bleed just a little for you

I love the technical aspect of writing to form, so, here’s the info for this one:

Form: a Triolet
Has eight lines in two stanzas of four lines each but, only five lines that are different.

Line 1 is repeated as lines 4 and 7.
Line 2 is also the last line.

The rhyming pattern is ABaA abAB, where the capital letters are the repeating lines.

You tear at my skin with piercing (words)
And I bleed just a little for you
Reassemble myself with the view you (preferred)
You tear at my skin with piercing (words)

And my acid retort is (unheard)
As I observe my existence undo
You tear at my skin with piercing (words)
And I bleed just a little for you
